That Thing Where People Ask You A Question
I think I’m gonna do that tomorrow. Wait…I won’t really be around a computer much tomorrow. Maybe Friday. Yeah. Friday come to my Tumblr and ask me a question.

The Challenge Today
Let me tell you the short version of a story first. A few years ago, I was hanging out in a chat room that Derek had set up for SHoE. At the time, there were several people there and we were having a grand time laughing and making jokes and talking about Smallville. It was there that I met a young man who went by the handle “Kryptonman.” K-Man (as we affectionately typed his name) was a bright-eyed hopeful young man looking to meet girls who were also Smallville fans.
Today, that same young man is a few years older, has learned a more effective way to meet women, and goes by the handle @ARutt.
Like a musician with a huge hit that he tries to never play again, Kryptonman has forsaken what brought him to the dance.
In an effort to help this young man embrace who he is and be happy with it, I have been challenged.
The challenge is this. Between 12:30 EST and 1:30 EST, raise only $100 for Autism Speaks. If this is accomplished then two things happen.
The first, and most important thing is that you will have helped my good friend Kim get closer to her goal of raising $2000 this year to go towards a great charity with a an even greater cause.
The second, and only slightly less important thing (please catch the sarcasm there folks) is that @ARutt will change his twitter handle back to @Kryptonman. It will be the first step in this young man being himself and letting his geek flag fly among his geek friends.
In the words of the great Bonnie Tyler, “I need a hero.” That hero is you. Please go to the link below and the link with which I will be filling up your twitter feed for the next hour and donate. Dig deep folks. A young man’s geekdom depends on it.
